About Me
Welcome,

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 25 years of experience in mental health, specializing in trauma and abuse recovery.
My journey began in Brazil, where I grew up in a diverse and challenging environment that shaped my understanding of human suffering and resilience.
Losing my parents at a young age and witnessing widespread trauma in my community instilled in me a deep compassion and commitment to helping others heal.
Feel free to reach out to me for a consultation or to learn more about my services. Together, we can work towards a brighter, healthier future.

... more about me!

Education
I earned my undergraduate degree in Pedagogy from UNICAMP, one of Brazil's most prestigious universities, where I also completed my Master's in Education. Being young and driven, I wanted to explore other cultures. This drive brought me to the US, where I furthered my education by earning a master's degree in Social Work and Social Welfare at San José State University.

Experience
My experience extends to working in correctional facilities, where I provided mental health services to inmates, helping them navigate their complex emotional and psychological needs. I also provided services to Ventura County Behavioral Health for 12 years, offering counseling and case management to individuals with severe mental illnesses, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and trauma. I served a large portion of the Latinx community in that county, becoming more familiar with issues of domestic violence and structural trauma.
